How To Back Up Registry Keys

Description

You must make a backup of the registry keys before you change something.

Solution

In this post you will see how to backup the entire registry or just a group.

1. Press Windows Key + R, type regedit and press enter.

2. If you want to backup the entire registry right click on computer and select export.

If you want just a folder select it, for example to save the following key:

Computer\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\office

To restore just double click on the file you have just created.
