Description

In this solution we saw how to be sure you cannot change the start web page in Internet Explorer 6 and 7. That solution not block the access to the registry so an application can modified it. In this post we will se an option to block it for internet explorer 8 on Windows 7.

Solution

1. Open regedit.

2. Go to the computer, HKCU, Software, Microsoft, Internet Explorer Main.

3. Right click and select Permissions..,

4. Click Advanced.

5. Uncheck Include inheritable permissions from this object’s parent.

6. In the window that appears select Add and press Ok.

7. Press Add and select everyone press ok.

8. Deny Set Value and delete.

Now it is impossible to change  the values. Remember to undo this if you want to change something again.
